Where this applies
General anti-scam checklist; no malware sample analysis or endorsement of sellers.
What to do
Compare the full domain and the store publisher with the official links. A padlock only shows an encrypted connection; it does not prove a site is Garena.
Reject downloads that require disabling security, installing a configuration profile, granting accessibility control or running an unknown booster. Do not test an unknown APK on your personal account.
Treat free-diamond generators, paid account transfers and requests for login tokens as warning signs. Do not pay a fee to unlock a supposed prize.
If you shared credentials, go directly to the linked provider's official security settings, change the compromised password and review active sessions. Keep evidence and contact official support for account issues.
Worked checks & examples
Three checkpoints before opening an offer
Ask who published the offer, where its link goes and what it asks you to do. A copied logo or familiar player name does not answer any of these. Navigate independently to the official announcement or store rather than trusting a shortened or forwarded link. An offer that cannot be found there remains unverified. This is a general screening method; it is not a claim that every unlisted promotion is fraudulent or that a specific website has been investigated.
Example: a supposed launch APK asks for extra control
Suppose a page says the store version is delayed and offers an APK that needs disabled protection or accessibility control. Do not install it to see whether the claim is true. Compare the official store listing and keep the message as evidence if reporting it. If you merely visited the page and entered nothing, close it; that alone does not prove an account compromise. If you installed something or granted access, stop using it and follow the device maker's normal security and app-removal guidance.
Example: a prize requires an OTP or recovery code
Do not send the code, even if the sender claims to be support or says the reward will expire. A code can authorize access or an account change. If you already supplied one, open the real login provider directly, review access and recovery details and secure the account using its official flow. Do not send additional codes to a person who offers to reverse the mistake. Record the sender, time and request privately for an official report; never publish the secret itself.
Separate account recovery from payment recovery
For account changes, use the game and linked provider's official support paths. For a charge, retain the original receipt and contact the store or payment provider through its normal dispute process. Describe what was purchased, what was promised and what occurred without including a password. Stop if a helper demands another fee, remote control or access to your inbox. This independent site cannot recover money or restore accounts, and the older linked scam article remains a reference that could not be reread.
Choose your next step
If money was taken, use the payment provider's official dispute channel. Do not pay another person who promises instant recovery.
What this does not confirm
The older Garena scam article was inaccessible during this check. This checklist is original general safety advice, not a claim that a specific site was investigated.
